Amber Alert for Calif. 11-year-old kidnapped at gunpoint

LOS ANGELES -- A statewide Amber Alert issued Friday for an 11-year-old girl allegedly abducted in the San Jose area was canceled after the girl was found safe and her alleged abductor taken into custody.

Authorities said Taylor Vo was abducted by 42-year-old Tri Le early Friday morning from the home of Le's former girlfriend, according to 10News' Bay Area sister station KGO-TV.
Authorities said Le forced his way into the home, assaulted a family member and then fired several shots inside the house.
Le took the girl from the home at gunpoint, KGO reported.
An Amber Alert was issued after Le fled with the girl in dark-colored minivan with an unknown license plate.

ABC affiliate KGO-TV reports the girl's captor has been identified as 42-year-old Tri Truong Le. Police say Le forced his way into the residence, assaulted a family member, then went into Taylor Vo's bedroom and took her at gunpoint.

Le fled with Taylor in a late model, dark colored minivan, which was described by witnesses as possibly "American made," according to police.

Le is described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, a black jacket and blue jeans, police said.

Authorities say he is considered armed and dangerous.

Taylor is described as being 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 105 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair with blonde highlights.

Anyone who sees the suspect is urged to call 911. People with information about the case are urged to call the San Jose Police robbery unit at (408) 277-4166.
