Christmas Toy Appeal‎

A FORK lift truck is now needed to move all the toys and gifts Warrington Guardian readers have donated to this year’s toy appeal.

We have teamed up with BiG Storage on Manchester Road to collect presents for under privileged children in the borough.

Hundreds have now been collected and there is one week left to donate before they are handed out at Christmas parties.

The gifts will go to l The NSPCC in Warrington l The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust in Millington near Lymm l Jacob’s Unique Memory Pot (J-U-M-P) l Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) l St Joseph’s Family Centre in Museum Street.

Toys can be dropped off at BiG Storage, Manchester Road, Woolston, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm, Saturdays 9am to 4pm, and Sundays 10am to 2pm at the BiG Storage reception.

Toys can also be dropped off at Gulliver’s World, Camp Road and The Warrington Wolves Foundation at The Halliwell Jones Stadium from Monday to Friday between 10am and 5pm.

The money donated will top up the funds raised to ensure that every child who has signed up receives a gift.

WORKING CLUB IS DOING ITS BIT
oing its bit A CLUB in Weymouth has donated to the Echo Christmas Toy Appeal because there is nothing more special than giving a child a Merry Christmas.

Weymouth and Melcombe Regis Working Men’s Club has given £100 to ensure that needy children across Dorset receive a gift this Christmas.

Manager Kelvin Day said: “Christmas is for the children and there is nothing more special than seeing their little faces light up on Christmas Day.

“We had a committee meeting and decided that we would donate because this is such a worthy cause for local people.

“This money will help needy families who otherwise would not be able to provide Christmas gifts, try as they might.”

The donation will be used to top up the funds raised by the Toy Appeal and ensure that every child who has signed up receives a gift.
