Islamabad

Islamabad, اسلام آباد Islām ābād, lit. Abode of Islam) is the capital of Pakistan and the tenth largest city in the country. Located within the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), the population of the city has grown from 100,000 in 1951 to 1.7 million in 2011. The greater Islamabad-Rawalpindi Metropolitan Area is the third largest conurbation in Pakistan with a population of over 4.5 million inhabitants.
Islamabad is located in the Pothohar Plateau in the northern part of the country, within the Islamabad Capital Territory. The region has historically been a part of the crossroads of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with Margalla pass acting as the gateway between the two regions. The city was built during the 1960s to replace Karachi as Pakistan's capital. Islamabad is a well-organized city divided into different sectors and zones. It is regarded as the most developed city in Pakistan. It was ranked as a Gamma world city in 2008. The city is home to Faisal Mosque, the largest mosque in South Asia and the sixth largest mosque in the world.
Islamabad has the highest literacy rate in Pakistan[7] and is home to the some of the top-ranked universities in Pakistan, including Quaid-i-Azam University, Pakistan Institute of Engineering & Applied Sciences and the National University of Sciences and Technology.[8] Allama Iqbal Open University in Islamabad is one of the world's largest universities by enrollment.

Constitution Avenue is a large road that runs through Islamabad, Pakistan. It is considered among one of the most important zones in the city as a number of landmark and government buildings exist along the road, such as the Aiwan-e-Sadr, the Prime Minister's Secretariat, the Grand Hyatt Islamabad, the office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Library of Pakistan, the Supreme Court of Pakistan as well as the office of the Auditor General of Pakistan.[1] The diplomatic enclave hosting foreign embassies also lies in close proximity to the area.

Avenue starts from Sector F-5/1 near the Parliament and ends at the roundabout of F-10 Markaz. The total length of the Avenue is around 8 kilometers. The Avenue used to be a 4 lane road but in the early 2000s it was converted into a 6 lane road. By the end of 2008 it has become an 8 lane road.
It is the same road that heads directly to parliament house which is adjacent to other important government buildings like prime minister house and few others. Also you would see lots of greenery on sides of this road, which really looks great and increases the beauty of this area. Also campuses of two universities "University of Lahore, Islamabad Campus(UOL)" and "Muhammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU)" are on same Road. But MAJU University is shifted. yasir ali malik.
